Vimal is a postdoctoral fellow from Bone Biopathology laboratory, headed by Prof. Anna Teti at University of L’Aquila, Italy. Recently he graduated in the field of angiogenesis and currently he is investigating the molecular pathways that couple angiogenesis and osteogenesis in mechanical unloading.

Under the RUBICON exchange programme, he visited the vascular biology laboratory of Dr. Suvro Chatterjee, at Anna University, India for a period of 2 months from July 1 to August 31, 2016.  During this exchange period, he was trained in in-vivo CAM assay and in-vitro angiogenesis assays using HUVEC.
