- WP4: Impact of ECM and oxygen tension on the interaction of osteogenesis and angiogenesis
- Secondment to ERASMUS, 2016-2017
Pavitra is a PhD student in the laboratory of Dr. Suvro Chatterjee. He is currently studying the role of nitric oxide in cardiogenesis and how modulation of nitric oxide during early development affects embryonic health through genomic, proteomic and metabolomic approaches. He has expertise in embryological studies, angiogenesis assays and animal handling. In addition, he is working towards the identification of molecular targets of thalidomide and its analogs and also how they mediate teratogenicity in an attempt to obtain an analog(s) with better efficacy and safety profile.
Within RUBICON he visted the laboratory of Prof. Hans van Leeuwen in the Erasmus Medical center for 6 months to study the impact of Extra Cellular Matrix (ECM) and oxygen tension on the interaction of osteogenesis and angiogenesis.
