Beth is a PhD student in the Skeletal Research Group at Newcastle University, under the supervision of Professor Michael Briggs. Her research focuses on investigating the intra- and extracellular mechanisms of pathobiology of the aggrecanopathies.
In RUBICON Beth visited the laboratory of Professor Danny Chan at the University of Hong Kong. There she learned how to further characterise the spinal phenotype of mouse models of chondrodysplasias using a range of histological and biochemical techniques.
